Oh wow, what a nice surprise!

Published by Les on

As my regular readers will know, I write the occasional article for “Woodturning” magazine and my latest piece has just been published. Every year, at about this time, a special Winter edition is published. A few weeks ago, when the November issue landed on my doormat, I was delighted to see that one of my photographs of my bowls was being used to advertise this year’s Winter edition, but today, when the Winter edition finally arrived, I was well and truly over the moon to see that not only was my same photograph on the cover, but also, my article was the lead article.

The article is all about a technique that I use to apply copper wire bindings to bowls and pots made from distressed pieces of timber, a practice that is very important to me as this is a type of timber that I feel very strongly, deserves to be used more widely.
