Description
Lacewood beaded bowl.
Lacewood is the name for the timber of the London Plane tree. Patterns caused by the medullary rays in the timber give it this lace-like appearance and make it a highly valued timber.
The lower part of the outside has been beaded and then treated with verdigris wax. The false rim extends into the bowl, making it ideal for holding something like scented pot-pourri.
Dimensions 20 x 10cm.
